On account of the impact of the external objects on the senses of perception, one experiences pleasure and mistakes it to be nectar. But over time, the pleasure initially mistaken as nectar turns into bitter and unpleasant poison. This type of happiness is Rajasic happiness. If one welcomes Rajasic sensory pleasure, one’s strength, awareness, intelligence to achieve the four human goals of Dharma (Right Action), Artha (Wealth), Kaama (Righteous Desire) & Moksha (Liberation) are weakened; one’s interest and aspiration to attain divine bliss declines. -Vidya Vahini, Chap 11 .
