When God assumes human form and is behind you, before you and beside you, speaking to you and moving with you, and allowing you to cultivate attachment of various kinds with Him, you do not recognise Him. We should not be misled into the belief that He is just human and nothing more. We generally forget the Truth. The Divine proclaims, "I am not a mass of flesh and blood; I am not a bundle of desires which the mind is; I am not the heap of delusion which the imagination is; I am the Paramaathma (Supreme Soul), the Origin and the End. Sai Inspires - April 29, 2011

For the bird flying over the deep, blue waters in mid-ocean the only resting place is the mast of a ship sailing in those waters. In the same way, the Lord is the only refuge for the man who is tossed about in the stormy seas of this world. However far the bird may fly, it knows where it can find rest and that knowledge gives it confidence. The Name of the Lord is like that mast; remember it always, associate it with the Form and have that Form fixed in the mind's eye. It is a lamp shedding light in the recesses of your heart. Have the Name on the tongue and it will drive away the inner darkness as well as the outer. - Thought for the Day, April 6, 2005.

All that you see is the reflection of what is inside you. If you call a person bad, it is the bad in you being reflected in him. It has got nothing to do with him. Bhakthi Yoga teaches people the path of Love – to love all as you love yourselves, and prosper by love. Then no harm can come to you. It will only spread joy and happiness to all. God is present in all beings as Love. They all endeavour to merge their love with the Ocean of Love that God is. Wherever Love is evident, take it that it is God’s own Love. God is the greatest Lover of mankind. Therefore, when anyone decides to serve humanity whom He loves, God showers Grace in plenty. When the human heart melts at the suffering of others and expands as a result of that sympathy, believe that God is present there. That is the sign of the validity of the path of devotion (Bhakthi Yoga). - Sathya Sai Vahini, Chap 10, "The Yogis".

Special Message from Radio Sai Team - April 26, 2011

Dear Reader, Sairam. Devotees with deep love for Swami in their hearts are coming to Prasanthi Nilayam in hundreds and thousands to treasure in their hearts forever one glimpse of their beloved Swami. The Prime Minister of India paid his homage this evening. The public darshan in Sai Kulwant Hall will go on till late evening today (April 26, 2011). Like every one of you we too were caught completely unawares on April 24, and immediately we had to organize huge screens for devotees’ viewing in Sai Kulwant Hall, at select points inside the Ashram, as well as at various vantage locations in the Puttaparthi town. This had to be done with no delay not only because of devotees' convenience but also for security and other reasons. We also started offering you the Live Audio Stream of the bhajans and devotional offerings in Sai Kulwant Hall on Radio Sai since the morning of April 25. For Live Video of the happenings in Sai Kulwant Hall we made quick arrangements for a Live Video Feed which was carried by a number of TV Channels through their broadcasting vans stationed in Prasanthi Nilayam. This way we were able to serve the yearning devotees at the regional and national level. Because of the pressure of all these immediate tasks on our extremely limited manpower (hardly half a dozen staff) and other resources we could not however organize a Live Video Stream on our website: radiosai.org. We regret for this inconvenience to overseas devotees. However, we hope many people in several countries will watch the special video "The Miracle of Pure Love" which will aired by Astha International TV Channel. Please go here for the details of the timings. Tomorrow (April 27, 2011) is the most sacred day when the Sai Kulwant Hall will transform into the Maha Samadhi Mandir of our dearest Bhagawan. We are going to video record every second of this momentous occasion and will offer you special highlights very shortly. This way people in all time zones will be able to see a compact footage of this event at their convenience. People in India, however, can watch the Live Video of tomorrow’s proceedings on the many TV channels which are already carrying the Divine darshan in Sai Kulwant Hall for the past two days. Additionally, we are also fully occupied organizing huge screens in the Hill View Stadium to enable the ever increasing number of devotees thronging Prasanthi Nilayam witness tomorrow’s proceedings with much ease. We hope you understand the immense constraints and demands on our time and resources because of which we are not able to offer you a Live Video Stream of tomorrow's proceedings on our website. Thank You. “I am in You, With You, Above You, Beside You, Around You….” Any number of times Bhagawan has reminded us about this ultimate truth. Sai Inspires - April 25, 2011

The sea of life (samsara), turbulent with the waves of joy and misery, can be crossed only by those who have an unflinching desire for the essence of bliss. The capacity to overcome the qualities (gunas) of Nature (prakriti) is not inherent in everyone; it comes to one with the grace of the Lord. And that grace is to be won by repetition of the divine name and meditation. This must first be clearly understood: it is impossible for everyone to control the tendencies of Nature; this power is possessed only by those who have Nature in their grip and whose commands Nature obeys. - Dhyana Vahini, Chap 6, "Meditation Reveals the Eternal and the Non-Eternal".

When the heart is filled with good thoughts and feelings, all that comes out of the senses - your speech, your vision, your action - will all be pure. – Baba

Sai Inspires - April 25, 2011

Just as soap is necessary to make this external body clean, repetition of the divine name, meditation, and remembrance of God (smarana) are needed to cleanse the interior mind. Just as food and drink are needed to keep the body strong, contemplation of the Lord and meditation on the Atma (Soul) are needed to strengthen the mind. Without this food and drink, the mind will just stumble this way and that. When the waves of desire agitate the waters of the mind, how can one see the base, the Atma? So, clean the mind with contemplation of the Lord. Feed it with meditation on the Atma. Only meditation and spiritual practice (sadhana) can clean the depths of the mind and give it strength. Without purity and strength, the Atma recedes into the distance and peace diminishes. - Dhyana Vahini, Chap 5, "Cultivate the Blissful Atmic Experience".

The thought of God, the contemplation of God, the grace of God – these alone can confer the purity we need. – Baba

Some people object that Karma Yoga (the spiritual discipline of action) involves too much physical strain. They say, “I sought only to do good to them, but they ignored my desire and tried to injure me”. Such disappointment makes one lose interest in activity. One wants to do good hoping to derive joy and share it. When such joy does not arise, despair sets in. But the lesson that Karma Yoga teaches is - do the Karma, as Karma, for the sake of the Karma. Why does the Karma Yogi fill his hands with work? Because that is his real nature. He feels happy while working; that is all. He does not bargain for results. He is not urged by any calculation. He gives, but never receives. He knows no grief, no disappointment; for he has not hoped for any benefit. - Sathya Sai Vahini, Chap 10, "The Yogis".

All the pains and pleasures man experiences are the results of his own actions and not due to any act of the Divine. – Baba
