Sai Inspires - December 01, 2010

Sai

When viewed without the twin distortions of like and dislike, love and hate - all forms, all effects, and all causes are experienced only as Brahman (Divinity). When the vision is affected by love or hate, each form, effect and cause, appears different from the rest.  When feelings are calm and balanced, the many is experienced as the one.  An agitated mind can never have a single vision. It runs along contrary lines, so it experiences the world, nature, and the cosmos as separate from God. Such vision also creates division. Serene vision reveals unity. As is the vision, so is the impression, the view of the world.

- Sutra Vahini, Chap 12.

and Answers, Part-20"?

Sai Inspires - November 30, 2010

Sai

Every sense runs after external objects one after the other, one supporting the other, restlessly and miserably. One must bring under control the mind, the reasoning faculty and the senses which roam aimlessly behind objective pleasures. One must train them to take on the task of concentrating all attention on the glory and majesty of God to follow one systematic course of one-pointed discipline. Bring them all and lead them towards the Higher Path. Their unlicensed behaviour has to be curbed. They must be educated by means of japa (chanting God’s name), dhyana (meditation) or noble deeds, or some other dedicatory and elevating activity that purifies and ennobles.

Sai

The process of purifying the inner equipment of man in the crucible of single-pointed speech, feeling and activity, directed towards God is called thapas (penance). The inner consciousness will then be rid of all blemishes and defects.  When the inner consciousness has been rendered pure and unsullied, God will reside therein. Finally, he will experience the vision of the Lord Himself, within him.

Sai Inspires - November 28, 2010

Sai

As a teacher, you must ask yourself, "Have the pupils grasped the lesson alright? Which subject has to be taught in which way, and through which method?” These problems should bother you as a teacher. Moreover you should conduct yourself just in the same manner as you advise and expect the students to behave. When they are taught the lessons through love, their reverence for the teacher will also deepen. Each teacher should strive to encourage the all-round development of the student. You must expand your heart through love, and not waste the years of your life in furthering your own interests.

Sai Inspires - November 27, 2010

Sai

Of the instruments used by everyone, the body with its hands ready executes the thought which is expressed in words. The deed, the work, the labour that the hand of man is engaged in, is the source of all the happiness or misery for everyone. Man asserts that he is happy, or that he is anxious and afraid or that he is in trouble; and he attributes the cause of these conditions to some person other than himself. This belief rests on a wrong basis. Happiness and misery are due to one’s own actions. Whether one accepts this truth or not, one has to go through all the consequences of one’s actions. This is the Law of Nature.

Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam - 26th November 2010

Dear Reader,
Loving Sairam from the Heart2Heart team.

What is the barometer of a good teacher? The Divine Teacher lovingly explains to us today.

Did you see the 85th Birthday Videos?

Morning Program | Evening Function

Sai Inspires - November 26, 2010

The teacher must come down to the level of the student. This process is called ‘descent.’ It does not mean stepping down from the top to the ground. It only means accepting the level of the person who is to be benefited. The baby on the floor cannot jump in to the arms of the mother, when she calls upon it to come up. Iif the mother feels “I am a great person, I will not stoop”, she cannot possess the child. Stooping does not make a person small. The teacher too, is not demeaning himself when he comes down to the level of the pupil in order to teach him. It is only a laudable sign of love.

Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam - 25th November 2010

How can we translate our daily actions as steps in the journey to our dear Lord?Swami elucidates clearly tous today.

Did you see the Video of the Evening function on His 85th Birthday?

Sai Inspires - November 25, 2010

A person bound by objective desires will try in various ways to fulfil them. He becomes a slave to his senses and their pursuits. But if he withdraws the senses from the world and gets control over their master, the mind, and engages that mind in thapas (penance), then he can establish Swa-rajya or Self-mastery or independence over himself. Allowing the senses to attach themselves to objects is what causes bondage. When the mind that flows through the senses towards the outer world is turned inwards and is made to contemplate on the Atma, it attains liberation or Moksha.

Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam - 24th November 2010

Dear Reader,
Loving Sairam from the Heart2Heart team.

What is a simple barometer to measure our purity daily? Swami lovingly guides us today.

Did you see the Video of the Morning function on His 85th Birthday?

Sai Inspires - November 24, 2010

Hands are not the only limbs or agents that are involved in Karma or human activity. Whatever is done, seen or heard, one should be vigilant about its purity. Thought, word and deed must be free from pride, greed and hatred. The words that one utters must be free from these faults. Things that one yearns to hear must be free from these superficially attractive qualities; the pleasures that one seeks must not be polluted by evil. You must first assimilate these mental lessons and demonstrate their effect in your speech. You must translate this lesson taught by words into action.

How can we be loved by all? Swami gives us the secret today.

Have you read the article,
"The Avataric Mission"?

Sai

It is a matter of great bliss to be loved by many. To win over the hearts of so many is a sign of Divinity. I love everyone and all love Me.  Do not hurt anyone by your harsh words and enter into any evil paths. Recognise the truth that God pervades everything from microcosm to macrocosm. With Shraddha and Vishwasa (sincerity of purpose and faith) and self-confidence, you can achieve anything in the world. Love God from the depths of your heart.  Follow Swami’s commands and you will attain everything and be victorious in all your endeavours!

What is the need of the hour? Swami lovingly explains today.

Education should be used for promoting the welfare of the nation. Knowledge gained through education should be used selflessly for promoting the well-being of humanity. What we need today are Uttama-purushulu (noble and ideal men and women). The nation will prosper only when there are such persons. And people like these will emerge in society only when there is purity of mind and morality in society. Only a society with a moral foundation can foster such noble persons. Spirituality is the only means for redemption.

What is the purpose of a Miracle? Swami lovingly explains to us today.

Have you read the article,
"Sai is Our Loving God"?

The common man is drawn by external pomp and apparent motives. So he judges the leelas (Divine sport) as common and even low. The inner meaning and purpose are not easily patent to all.  But the Lord can never engage Himself in purposeless and paltry activities. His advent is for the uplift of the world from the morass of wickedness and unrighteousness, for fulfilling the needs of those devoted to Him, for the reestablishment of righteousness and morality, and for the revival of the Vedas. He has to take into account the merit acquired by each in previous lives and shower His grace accordingly. His leelas or Divine activities are so shaped that they suit the time, the person, the aspiration and the compassion which cause each shower of grace!
